MIRI: Two houses in Lorong Harmoni in Tudan were razed by a fire on Thursday night, leaving nine people homeless. Seven firemen from Lopeng were immediately dispatched after an alarmed was raised on the incident at 7.31pm.
According to Miri Fire and Rescue Department Zone 6 chief Supt Law Poh Kiong, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. “All victims managed to run for safety when the fire broke out,” he said.
The blaze was successfully put out at 8.07pm and the operation ended at 9.06pm. However, the actual cause of the fire has yet to be determined as investigations are underway.
