MUKAH: Two primary schools in Dalat have been named excellent schools for their outstanding achievements in the national primary exam, Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) 2019.

They are SK Kampung Teh which achieved a 100 percent pass with school average grade (GPS) of 3.15, and SK Kampung Klid with GPS of 2.07.

The awards were given during the State-Level Teacher’s Day celebration held in Kuching on July 1.

SK Kampung Teh’s school headmaster Dahlan Pamuda attributed the achievement to the efforts and cooperation of all parties, especially Dalat assemblywoman Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, teachers, parents and pupils.

He spoke at the handing over of Certificates of Appreciation by Fatimah, who is also State’s Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister here, in Kampung Teh, Oya on Sunday (July 26).

SK Kampung Klid’s school headmaster Latip Abu Bakar said based on the evaluation of the UPSR performance, the school committee was fine-tuning its intervention programme for targeted pupils.
