PADAWAN: Two suspects were nabbed for online gambling activities in an anti-gambling operation (Ops Dadu) on Tuesday (June 30).
According to Padawan OCPD Supt Aidil Bolhassan, the two suspects were arrested in two different locations.
The first suspect－a 20-year-old female－was arrested at a shoplot in a commercial centre in Jalan Matang, around 5.30pm.
“A cellphone and RM143 in cash were also seized from the suspect.
“The suspect admitted to being involved in online gambling activities and also has a previous criminal record,” Supt Aidil said in a statement issued on Tuesday (June 30).
The second raid, conducted at Taman Lee Ling, Jalan Matang around 5.50pm, saw the arrest of an 18-year-old male suspect.
“A cellphone and RM117 in cash were seized from the suspect. The suspect also admitted to being involved in online gambling activities,” Supt Aidil said.
