UiTM gives food aid to staff

KUCHING: Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Sarawak Tun Abdul Razak Library (PTAR) Welfare and Recreational Club on Thursday distributed food aid to its PTAR staff affected by the recent floods.

According to a statement from PTAR today (Jan 15), they hope the contribution would help ease the burden of their staff who live around Kuching and Kota Samarahan.

It added the initiative has proven that the institution has always cared about the welfare of its staff and students.

“As we are aware, our country is not only hit by severe floods but also the rising number of Covid-19 cases.

“It is hoped that flood victims and the public would continue to persevere in the face of these challenges and continue to practice the new norms,” said the statement.

Among the PTAR staff who have received the assistance were Jamil Jawi from Kampung Rantau Panjang, Kuching and Habsah Suut (Kampung Pinang, Kota Samarahan).
