SAMARAHAN: The Quarantine and Low-Risk Treatment Centre (PKRC) at Rafflesia College, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) has been closed after operating for 247 days starting June 2 last year.

Kota Samarahan MP Rubiah Wang expressed her appreciation and gratitude to all staff and officers involved in the operation of PKRC Unimas.

“I take this opportunity to thank all the staff, especially PKRC advisor Dr Mohd Asri Riffin and his team, throughout their service at Unimas PKRC.

“After eight months of operation, finally the PKRC has been closed and this is because the Covid-19 situation has shown signs of improvement since we started facing it in March 2020.”

This was shared in a post on the Kota Samarahan Parliamentary Service Centre Facebook page on Friday (Feb 4).

In addition, Rubiah also expressed her appreciation to Unimas and the Samarahan Divisional Disaster Management Committee who provided their full cooperation in the establishment of Unimas PKRC and also contributed their efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19, especially in Kota Samarahan.
