KOTA SAMARAHAN: Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) held its annual Majlis Anugerah Gemilang (Excellence Award Ceremony) at the Arena Gemilang, DeTAR Putra, Unimas here today.
Several awards were presented at the event, including the Service Award (AP), Management Award (AP), Academic Award (AA), Main Award (AU), and Outstanding Service Award (APC).
The Sports Encouragement Award for the male category went to Reduan Satar while Hardy Suntol received the Sports Excellence Award.
Meanwhile, Limjatai Kadin Patrick received the Executive Hopeful Staff Award while Krimasuria Shazali was recognised with the Hopeful Management and Professional Staff Award.
FACA Online Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts received the Management Innovation ICT Award and the Webometrics Award for the academic category, went to the Faculty of Economics and Business. The non-academic category award went to the Centre of Graduate Studies.
Recipients of other awards:
- Assessment Award – Ahmad Alif Kamal, Nur Fazliana Rahim, Chew Khuit Tat, Ibrahim Bohari, Norhunaini Mohd Shaipullah, George Tan Geok Shim and Emmerline Shelda Siaw.
- Immersive Experience Learning Award (Teradun) – Tay Siow Phing, Prof Dr Henry Rantai Gudum, Dr Paul Cliff Simon Divis, Romina Grey Melvin, Azhar Abdul Aziz, Azimah Ahmad and Ummi Syafiqag Abdorahman.
- Highest Cumulative Award of Publication in Impactful Journal in the field of Social Sciences and Literature – Professor Madya Dr Mohd Kamal Othman, Dr Rehman Ullah Khan and Dr Tharsini Sivabalan.
- Highest Cumulative Award of Publication in Impactful Journal in the field of Science – Khairul Anwar Mohamad Said, Dr Ahmad Kueh Beng Hong and Dr Adnan Shahid Khan.
- Publishing Award UNIMAS – Dr Regina Garai Abdullah and Professor Dr Neilson Ilan Mersat.
- Transformative Teaching Award – Natasha Rusdy Wong.
- Academic Hopeful Member’s Award UNIMAS – Dr Mohamad Hasnul Bolhassan.
- Highest Citation Individual Award (Literature Category) – Professor Dr Lo May Chiun.
- Highest Citation Individual Award (Science Category) – Professor Dr Indraneil.
- Innovation and Product Commersialisation UNIMAS – Professor Madya Dr Noor Alamshah Bolhassan.
- Leadership Award – Siti Khadijah Salam.
- Management Leadership and Professional Award – Alhadi Bujang.
- Teaching Award UNIMAS – Professor Madya Dr Devagi Kanakaraju.
Also present at the ceremony were Federal Secretary Datuk Amir Omar, UNIMAS Board of Director chairman Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Sulong Matjeraie and Vice Chancellor Professor Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi.
