MIRI: Chiew Choon Man has advised against taking matters into one’s own hands.
The Miri MP was particularly referring to the KK Mart in Kuching Molotov cocktail attack on Apr 1.
Chiew stressed the importance of allowing law enforcers to conduct thorough investigations rather than allowing vigilantism to proliferate in this country and individuals taking matters into their own hands.
He said grievances should be resolved through lawful and peaceful means, rather than resorting to violence which would lead to chaos.
“Respecting each other’s religions is essential for fostering harmony and understanding in a diverse society,” he said in a statement today.
This approach promotes harmony and upholds the principles of justice and respect for all faiths, he said.
