KUCHING: A visit to study cross-border inter-related cooperation between Sarawak and Indonesia has been suggested to the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Sarawak (ACCCIS).

The visit was proposed by a group of delegates from The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Kuching and a research team from the National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia.

According to a statement released by ACCCIS on Thursday, the recent visit was led by the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Kuching H. E. Raden Sigit Witjaksono.

Raden introduced the research team members of the National Research and Innovation Agency of Indonesia and explained that the purpose of the visit was to study cross-border inter-related cooperation between Sarawak and Indonesia.

ACCCIS added that according to Raden, the field study would help the Indonesian government to make further adjustments on its cross-border policy.

The president of ACCCIS Datuk Tan Jit Kee welcomed the visit led by Raden. He also took the opportunity to brief the delegates and researchers about ACCCIS.
