PUTRAJAYA: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail tonight hosted a welcoming dinner in honour of the Chairperson of Qatar Foundation For Education, Science and Community Development (QF) and Education Above All (EAA), Sheikha Moza Nasser.
The dinner was held at the Deputy Prime Minister’s official residence, Sri Satria here.
The Deputy Prime Minister showed her warm Malaysian hospitality for the special guest when she prepared herself the bengkang ubi kayu for Sheikha Moza at Sri Satya kitchen.
Met by Bernama in the kitchen before Sheikha Moza’s arrival, Dr Wan Azizah said she chose to cook the Malay kuih as it is easy and quick to prepare.
“I started to cook this bengkang ubi kayu at about 6.30 pm. It is easy, you just need cassava, coconut milk, sugar and a little bit of salt.
“I used to cook this when I was overseas too. I cooked this in New York before,” she added.
After preparing the kuih, Dr Wan Azizah greeted Sheikha Moza upon her arrival at Sri Satria at about 8.15 pm. – Bernama
