Wan Junaidi, who had opted not to contest in the 15th general election, said it was his hopes that initiatives, in particular those that are still being looked into, would continue to be implemented regardless of whoever would hold the portfolio next.

“Generally, the people have witnessed a few positive changes to the legal landscape for the past 15 years which proved that it has met with the change of time, given various benefits to the people as well as a good impact to the country’s socio-economy and development,” he said in a statement yesterday.

However, he added that there are still some work that is not yet completed.

“The continuation and implementation of the country’s legalism duties and the existence of the Law Ministry must be carried out to ensure efficiency in all implementation of the legal agenda,” he added.

“For the above mentioned objectives, all agencies under my portfolio have and are working hard in preparing the study as well as suggestions in the transformation of this administration.

“They are working hard to implement a core business with efficiency as well as to instil a networking rapport with all the vital agencies/ departments so that all the laws that were revamped are always relevant in the long term to ensure that a harmonious Malaysia.

“Therefore, it is my high hopes that all these initiatives, in particular, those that are still being looked into following the polling day on November 19 will continue to be implemented regardless of whoever will hold this portfolio next,” he said.
