KUCHING: A fire broke out causing partial damage to sacks of fertilisers stored at a farming and agriculture warehouse located in Jalan Tenaga, Bintawa this morning.
Firemen from Tabuan Jaya and Padungan fire stations swiftly responded to a distress call received at 7.33 am.
Upon arrival, they found billowing smoke and encountered difficulties entering the warehouse due to its unclear internal structure. Using a crowbar, they gained access to the premises.
Prompt extinguishing efforts ensued, as firemen deployed four water nozzles from a water tanker to suppress the flames.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the fire.
Once it was confirmed that the area was secure, the team concluded their operation and returned to their respective stations.
