KUCHING: The Sungai Asap Water Treatment Plant temporary halted the operations of its raw water pump on Oct 2, causing the disruption of water supply in nearby areas.

This was due to the floods that has caused water intake to reach the maximum level, said Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) Sarawak in a recent statement.

“Water entered the panel box, which caused the raw water pump to not function properly due to log jam from upstream.

“The public are reminded that all the latest developments pertaining to the department can always be obtained through JBALB Sarawak’s social media accounts.
