KUCHING: A 3.45 am blaze destroyed three cars and partially damaged a two-storey house at Jalan Sungai Apong Baru here today.
Fortunately, no one was injured as all seven residents managed to get out to safety.
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Tabuan Jaya and Padungan stations were deployed to the scene but when they arrived they found that the fire had destroyed a luxury sports car, a luxury minivan and a family car.
In addition, the house was partially damaged with an estimate damage of 45 per cent.
The firefighters had to source water from a fire hydrant nearby.
The whole operation ended at 5.15 am.
The cause of the fire and losses incurred are yet to be ascertained.
