KUCHING:
Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg yesterday afternoon received a courtesy call from the Head of Mission and World Health Organisation (WHO) representative to Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam and Singapore Dr Ying-Ru Jacqueline Lo.

The courtesy call was held at his office at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Complex.

During the courtesy call, Abang Johari and Dr Lo exchanged views on the measures taken by state government and other related issues to prevent the further spread of rabies in Sarawak.

WHO is a specialised agency of the United Nations that is concerned with international public health.

It was established on April 7, 1948 and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland.

Also present at the meeting was Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian.
