LUBOK ANTU: Lack of facilities in SK Basi, Engkilili near here caught the attention of Lubok Antu MP Jugah Muyang when he visited the school recently.

This prompted Jugah to donate 20 closets to the school for its boarding students.

He also gave RM10,000 grant to the school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) to carry out its activities.

“I am confident that if the government provides better infrastructure, the teachers and students will be able to improve the quality of education in this school. I am sure that with good school facilities rural students can also excel in their studies,” he said at the school’s Pre-Gawai celebration held yesterday.

SK Basi is reachable by driving along a palm oil plantation road.
