MIRI: A woman incurred more than RM10,000 loss when her dwelling on the upper floor of a shop house in Pujut here was broken into. The 35-year-old woman was only aware of the break-in after she woke up at 8am.
According to a source, the victim was surprised to find that her living room was in a mess which prompted her to check the entire house.
“After checking, the woman found several valuable items including an iPad, a laptop, a digital camera and some cash were missing,” the source said.
It is believed that burglars entered the house through the main door after damaging the door lock. The woman later lodged a report at a police station.
