SIBU: Bawang Assan assemblyman Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh wants to see only real development projects be implemented.

“By real development projects I mean those projects that can directly benefit the people,” he said at a meet-the-people session at Rumah Dempi, Bukit Besai yesterday.

He said as far as rural folk are concerned what they need are good roads, water and electricity.

Wong called on the state government use the state’s reserves prudently for these infrastructural projects.

“We need to channel this money for rural development to build infrastructure by connecting all longhouses with roads, providing water and electricity,” he said.

Among those present were Pemanca James Semilan, Penghulu Richard Ampi, Penghulu Evelyn Holly Sebom and PSB Bawang Assan Bumiputera Unit chief Andrew Shilling.
