Work together, silat association told

MIRI: It is hoped that members of Rumpun Silat Sarawak (RSS) Miri will continue to be united and work together in the world of silat (Malay art of self defence) to ensure continued success.

According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Assistant Minister of Youth, Sport and Entrepreneur Development and Lambir assemblyman Dr Ripin Lamat said he would continue to give support to RSS Miri.

Speaking during a programme with RSS at Restauran Kampongku on Friday (Feb 4), Dr Ripin, who is also RSS Miri patron, commended the success of RSS since its establishment.

He said he would allocate a Minor Rural Project (MRP) grant amounting to RM20,000 to the association.
