KUCHING: Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap has approved three Rural Transformation Programmes (RTP) worth RM280,000 in his constituency.

The allocation will be used to upgrade the Kota Sentosa basketball court at RM200,000, toilets at Sam San Kuet Bong Temple, 7th Mile (RM50,000), and to repair and upgrade toilets at the basketball court at Lorong 2, Jalan Sungai Tapang (RM30,000).

He said in a statement today that the allocation was granted in response to requests for assistance from residents in the 7th Mile area.

The implementation of the upgrade and repair works will be supervised by the Kuching Resident’s Office and the Padawan Municipal Council.

Yap said he was committed to addressing various issues of dilapidated infrastructure, including drainage issues, in the back lanes of Kota Sentosa’s many housing estates.
