DEBAK: Yayasan Sarawak is able to improve children’s academic performance by continuing to assist them, especially the needy ones.
As an example, Saribas assemblyman Mohammad Razi Sitam mentioned school uniforms which the foundation donated to students from low and middle-income families.
“It is hoped that Yayasan Sarawak could also provide other types of assistance to help improve the children’s school performance,” he said at a school uniform presentation ceremony at Datuk Bandar Hamid Hall yesterday.
He then reminded parents to buy uniforms of good quality using the RM200 vouchers given to them.
“I want to express my appreciation to Yayasan Sarawak for all the assistance it has given,” he said.
About 218 students from 17 schools benefitted from the school uniform assistance.
Razi also urged parents to guide and support their children so that they can achieve
excellent results.
Also present at the ceremony were Betong District Officer Sofhi Jebal, Debak sub-district officer Nazari Bujang and Betong Temenggong Pi’ee Alwin.
