KUCHING: Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak (YPS) celebrates the success of its first Y-FLASH, a financial empowerment workshop, held on October 4 in Miri.

Aimed to align with YPS’s core values, this workshop seeks to enhance financial knowledge, promote unity, and guide sound financial decisions for young people between 18 and 40.

The Y-FLASH workshop comprises three main topics: Understanding Money Habits, Handy Financial Planning Tools, and Gearing Up for Brighter Financial Days. Beyond just teaching financial skills, these sessions also aim to bring participants closer through fun group tasks.

“Y-FLASH isn’t just about learning money matters. It’s about uniting Sarawak’s young people and giving them a community of support. Together, they can craft a wealthier financial tomorrow,” said YPS in a statement today.

Meanwhile a participant from Pusat Al-Falak Miri, Hezret Harrani said, “Most times, people just talk about money in theory. But here, we learned practical ways to budget and ensure our account stays positive.”

Following the success in Miri, YPS is gearing up for another session in Kuching. Set for October 12 at the Penview Hotel, the workshop will have Head of AKPK Kuching Marlene Margaret Nichol as a special guest speaker.
