BROTHERS Sharif Kadir Doli Sharif, 33, and Mohd Syaiful Doli Sharif, 35, of comedy group Zero were announced as the champion duo of Famili Duo Finale Season 3 last Sunday.
The Sabahan entertainers, who are professional comedians, beat two other pairs of contestants — cousins Haqiem Rusli and Ariff Bahran, and sisters Adira and Emma Suhaimi — to walk home with the trophy and cash prize of RM100,000.
The finalists had to perform two rounds at the finale. The duo first performed the song “Kong Kali Kong” in the first round, and their second performance sealed the deal.
For the round, they performed a medley of traditional tunes of “Lemak Manis”, “Umpan Jinak Di Air Tenang”, and “Joget Angan Tak Sudah”.
“When we took part, our main intention was to entertain our fans. It was not our aim to win,” said Sharif at a press conference held after the event.
The finale of the show Famili Duo S3 was broadcast live on TV3 from Studio ntv7 in Glenmarie on Sunday.
