SRI AMAN: A ‘gotong-royong’ (mutual aid) programme, organised by Sri Aman District Office (MDSA), was held at the Bus Terminal Tamu (marketplace) here.

It followed a report from the Environmental Health Office of the Sri Aman Division, which found Aedes mosquito larvae samples in 100 containers at the marketplace.

100 participants including government officials,  MDSA Council members and traders were involved in the programme.

Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Francis Harden Hollis also joined it.

In his speech, Harden emphasised the importance of maintaining cleanliness and discarding unwanted containers or junks that could collect rainwater to prevent  the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes, which caused dengue fever.
