12 summonses issued for traffic offences

LAWAS: The Road Transport Department (RTD) here issued a total of 12 summons notices for various traffic offences along Jalan Trusan recently.

The department through its Facebook page, said the operation codenamed ‘Ops Pengarah’ was led by its director Norizan Jili, RTD State Integrity Unit chief Safri Junaidi and Driving Licensing Division officer Bahrain Shah Abd Rani

During the operation, a total of 47 vehicles were inspected and 12 notices were issued to motorists.

Among the offences detected were not having a driving license, expired road tax as well as no third party insurance coverage.

In this regard, RTD advises road users to make sure that their vehicles comply with the laws set in place.

The department assured that they would carry out enforcement with focus on ensuring that users comply with existing rules and laws.
