13 localities to undergo EMCO

KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has announced that 13 new localities will be undergoing the enhanced movement control order (EMCO).

The EMCO had been implemented on Rumah (Rh) Achoi Jampung and Rh Lang Baja, Batu 18 both in Bintulu district from Sept 23 to Oct 2 while USMP Industries Sdn Bhd, Lot 1528-1529, Permy Technology Park, Jalan Tudan, Bandar Baru Permyjaya, Tudan in Miri district will also start on similar date but ends on Oct 3.

Meanwhile, Rh Nyanau, Nanga Telesa Mujok as well as Rh Sally, Lubok Langgir, Ulu Merurun both in Julau district; and Rh Mani, Kumpang Paoh B, Engkilili and Rh Liam, Rantau Kemayau Manis, Ulu Engkari both in Julau district had started their EMCO on Friday (Sept 24) until Oct 3.

From Sept 25 to Oct 4, the EMCO will be enforced at Rh Nyanggau, Sg Meramat; Rh Endawie, Sg. Kawan; Rh Jana, Tanah Putih; and Rh Augustine Mat, Tanah Putih all in Sarikei district.

Rh Loya Seman, Kamidan Asal in Saratok district along with Rh Intai, Suri Baroh and Rh Tila, Luing in Betong district will be put under EMCO from Sept 25 to Oct 5.

On a similar note, the committee also announced that the EMCO will be lifted on Sept 24 at 20 locations statewide.
