KUCHING: 15 participants are targeted to join the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) inaugural “Business Excellence Best Practice Study Visit to Jakarta” from 15- 20 May, 2017.

Themed “Strengthening Cooperation, Building Opportunities”, the study visit will provide an opportunity for Business Excellence (BE) practitioners to obtain information about best practices adopted by organisations in Indonesia as well as mutual exchange of knowledge and skills on BE and the BE framework with organisations in Indonesia.

The Director of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Griffith Jones Goba revealed this at a press conference held at Hilton Hotel here yesterday.

Also present was MPC Senior Consultant, Jerry Shahnizal Ab Aziz.

Griffith said Jakarta was chosen because organisations in Indonesia were among the early ones in implementing the BE. “Many organisations in Indonesia also practise BE and have a more systematic system for benchmarking.

“In addition, Indonesia and Malaysia share  common cultures which allow sharing of best practices more effectively,” he added.
