16 Mambong projects ready by year end

MAMBONG: By the end of this year, Mambong Constituency will see the execution of 16 Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) projects totalling RM2.35 million.

These projects include various developments such as the upgrading of the hut and road at St Bernard Church in Kampung Sadir; upgrading of the Kampung Mambong’s football field, improvement of village roads in Kampung Sikog; drainage system repairs in Kampung Penempatan, upgrading of the multipurpose hall in Kampung Simboh, and a village upgrading project in Kampung Rabak Asah.

Furthermore, the list includes the repair of ditches in the field area and the Kampung Giam Bauh multipurpose hall; road repairs in Kampung Semadang, upgrading of the Kampung Semban community hall; Pengah and Kampung Sorot Village road upgrades and upgrading of multipurpose halls in Kampung Timurang, Kampung Mambong, Kampung Bengoh and Kampung Bowang.

Deputy Minister of Transport and Mambong assemblyman, Datuk Dr Jerip Susil said the implementation of all the projects through the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) must comply with the procedures set by the RTP Procurement Committee.

During the RTP Procedures and Governance briefing held recently, Dr Jerip also mentioned the importance of following these procedures.

“This is to ensure the smooth execution and timely completion of the projects,” he said.

Among those present were Padawan Sub-district Office administrative officer Julius Scott Sapong and representatives from various departments and community leaders and village chiefs from Padawan sub-district.
