KUCHING: The mobile vaccination buses successfully inoculated 162 people at the Song Kheng Hai Hawker Centre.

Jong Yean Pin from the Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Kuching branch expressed appreciation for the organisers in arranging the service and the volunteers from the village development and security committees (JKKK) Padungan for maintaining the standard operating procedure (SOP) on site.

“The mobile bus vaccination programme aims to shorten the waiting time of the public and to increase the pace of inoculation to reach herd immunity.

“I hope that more people will benefit in view of the spike in Covid-19 cases. It is our responsibility to get vaccinated to protect ourselves and our loved ones.

“Through herd immunity, only then everyone can live a normal life with the economy reopening,” Jong said on Thursday (Aug 19).

Meanwhile, Kuching SUPP deputy chairman Bong Lian Huan also echoed the same hope for the state to achieve herd immunity so that things can return to normal.
