172 homes repaired under house improvement project

SEBUYAU: A total of 172 homes here have been repaired through the Sarawak Poor Housing Improvement Project (PPRMS) so far.

Infrastructure and Ports Development Assistant Minister and Sebuyau assemblyman, Datuk Julaihi Narawi, said the state government led by the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is always concerned about the living conditions of less fortunate.

He expressed his satisfaction with the 172 homes that have been repaired within the stipulated period.

“I represent the voice of the people in the Sebuyau constituency in thanking the GPS government for helping the less fortunate to live and own comfortable and safe houses,” he told Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) when met after a working visit and handing over of the PPRMS project in Kampung Seruyuk on Saturday.

Among the homeowners who benefitted from the PPRMS was Sa’adah Mat from Kampung Seruyuk whose house underwent repair in terms of roof, walls and others.

She expressed her appreciation to Julaihi and the Sarawak government for the assistance.

“This house repair project was able to provide comfort for my family. Thank you YB (Julaihi) and the GPS government,” she said.

Also present were Sebuyau administrative officer Ajis Ahmad, Pemanca Asli Yahya, Penghulu Hamdan Esamail, and Kampung Seruyuk village chief Umar Ismail.
