KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) on Wednesday announced that 19 more localities in nine districts of the state had been placed under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO).
The localities are mostly in Sri Aman, Tatau, Sebauh, Subis, Lubok Antu, Pakan, Julau, Betong and Sarikei.
The committee said the EMCO had been enforced at Rumah Buyung at Lepong Simpai, Rumah Elie at Sabu Baroh, Rumah Sparrow Anyan at Bait Baru, Rumah Rose Emma Stanley Gate at Temudok Atas in Sri Aman district, Tamar Estate workers quarters, Semanok in Tatau and Rumah John Damu, Sungai Labang, KM 60, Jalan Bintulu-Miri in Sebauh from Sept 14 to Sept 27.
“In Subis, two localities, namely, Rumah Gingdan Mancha Gudang Atas Sibuti and Rumah Mokeng Tambom Gudang Tengah Sibuti are under EMCO from Sept14 until Sept 28,” it added.
The committee said Rumah Empading, Kampung Bunu, Skrang in Lubok Antu, Rumah Bandi, Kampung Sebangkoi at Undop, Rumah Sang, Seduku at Lingga and Rumah Ajon, Kampung Sapak Bubung at Pantu in Sri Aman were placed under the EMCO from today (Sept 15) until Sept 28.
The EMCO was also enforced at Rumah Andrew Ungon, Nanga Darau and Rumah Andrew, Simpang Jagoi both in Pakan and Rumah Philip Janting, Ulu Bejawai Sangkong in Julau from today (Sept 15) until Sept 28.
“Meanwhile, from Sept 16 until Sept 29, the EMCO is effective at Rumah Amin at Saka, Rumah Francis Ajie at Buyong Baru and Rumah Jambai at Kerapa in Betong and Rumah Anggey, Sungai Kerubong, Selalang in Sarikei,” added the committee.
The SDMC has extended the EMCO at three localities, namely, Rumah. Engkabi, San Semanju in Lubok Antu (from Wednesday (Sept 15) until Sept 29), Rumah Langan at Ng. Mara and Rumah Lugat at Penyelanih Kiba in Betong (from Thursday (Sept 16) until Sept 29).
The committee today (Sept 15) ended the EMCO at 30 localities, namely, Kampung Hilir, Maludam in Pusa, Rumah Joseph at Jambu Kerampak, Rumah Denil, Menyalin Baru at Debak, Rumah Lebin, Muton Baru at Debak, Rumah Bawie, Rapong at Debak, Rumah Sibat at Penurin, Rumah Michael at Sebangkoi and Rumah Sabal, Batu 8 at Debak in Betong.
On Wednesday (Sept 15), the EMCO also ended at Rumah Miah, Munggu Ridan at Pantu, Rumah Bugak Bunsi at Munggu Ubah and Rumah Merong Nangkai at Jaong Strap in Sri Aman, Rumah Maxwell Tambi, Sungai Libau at Jalan Miri-Bintulu, Rumah Juan Bedaru, Sungai Gelasah at Suai, Rumah Changgai Dali, Sungai Saeh, at Ulu Suai, Rumah Patrick Libau and Rumah John Abau both in Sungai Tangap at Niah, Rumah Jesus Robin Timboo, Sungai Gelasah at Suai and Rumah Belilie Lium, Sungai Tema at Ulu Niah in the Subis district, Woodman Kuala Baram Estate Sdn Bhd in Marudi and Rumah Muling at Sg. Suchong Balut in Julau.
On Thursday (Sept 16), the EMCO will end at the Seberkas Jaya Shophouse, the rental rooms above Chen Jia Tai Chi Association at Tanjung Batu, the rental rooms above CC Voon Money Lender, Rumah Tukau Gurutak at Jalan Bintulu-Tatau and Rumah Jaraw Sumok at Sungai Plan in Bintulu, Rumah Beraoh Emperan, KM8 and Rumah Timban Metan, Sg Setulai both at Jalan Sebauh-Bintulu in Sebauh and Rumah Geraman Imban, Sungai Empuak at Jelai, Rumah Suang Gamba at Nanga Sana and Rumah Enggul Ujan at Sg Selitut in Tatau.
