20 USM students take part in motivation programme

SIBU:   20 students from University Sains Malaysia (USM) took part in a motivation programme at SK Abang Ali recently.

The programme was held in conjunction with the “Sehati Sejiwa” visit and “Bakti Siswa” programme organised by Sarawak Special Affairs Department (JASA).

According to Sarawak JASA Senior Assistant Director, Anwar Hanafi Ardiwan Shah,  a similar programme took place at Meluan Julau on Monday.

“This programme is among those we  plan for the “Sehati Sejiwa” visit  by the USM students  from 19-21 March.

“The main objective of the programme is to motivate the Primary Six pupils. I have been informed that SK Abang Ali has  123 pupils who will sit for the UPSR exams,” he said.

He said the three-day programme featured a variety of activities and programmes.

Officer of JASA Sibu / Mukah, Awang Julaihi Awang Ali Bohan was among those present at the programme.
