KUCHING: A total of 371 questions were accepted and will be answered in the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting.

Of the total, 290 of the questions will be answered orally while the other 81 will be replied in written form.

State Legislative Assembly (DUN) Speaker Datuk Amar Mohd Asfia Awang Nassar singled out the rejected question and revealed that it was posed by Ba’kelalan assemblyman Baru Bian.

“The question was rejected based on technical grounds. When you ask a question, you cannot do it to ascertain the veracity of a question as reported in the media,” he told reporters during a press conference at PBB Headquarters, Jalan Bako here yesterday.

“Secondly, you don’t need to name the person as it is not necessary. The question was rejected on these grounds.”

All 371 questions were posed by 48 assemblymen as of 6pm on Wednesday. The highest number of questions is directed towards the Chief Minister’s Department with 75 questions.
