38 handed compounds in Ramadan bazaar checks

A total 38 compounds were issued during the routine inspections.

MIRI: A total 38 compounds have been issued to stall proprietors and food handlers for various offences during routine checks by the Health Department on Bazaar Ramadans in the city.


To date, five Bazaar sites have been inspected namely Bazaar Miri Indoor Stadium, Bazaar New World Mart Lutong, Bazaar MyyMall Lutong, Bazaar Emart Riam and Medan Saberkas.


In these operations, total of 207 stalls and 429 food handlers were screened by health officials.


In a statement the department reminded the public to exercise their consumer rights by choosing safe, clean, hygienic food premises and food handlers who practise good hygiene.


The public can lodge a report if the food they bought was contaminated to the Ministry of Health’s official complaint online platform https://moh.spab.gov.my.
