440 trainees complete police constable training

KUCHING: A total of 440 trainees of the Basic Police Training Programme (PLAK) Constable Series 53 6/2022 at the Police Training Centre (Pulapol) Kuching have completed their training yesterday.

The trainees underwent training for six months from August 28 and were celebrated at the passing out parade to mark the end of their training. It was officiated at by Deputy Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain.

Razarudin congratulated the trainees who have completed the training course and successfully endured various challenges for six months.

In his speech at the parade, he was proud when being informed that 25 trainees in this series were degree holders while a total of 138 trainees were diploma graduates.

“This proves that academic level is not the yardstick to apply for a career, but strong interest and determination overcome everything.

“I hope all the trainees always believe in their own abilities and strive to develop themselves for the sake of career development in the police force,” he said.

At the same time, he reminded all the trainees to be always prepare themselves, be dynamic and brave to face the current challenges and organise preparations to face future challenges.

He also emphasised that the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) will not compromise with any of its personnel who are involved in issues of disciplinary violations and immoral acts such as corruption and drugs that can tarnish the image of the police.

Razarudin added that strict action will be taken against those involved, in order to protect the dignity and image of PDRM.

The ceremony also saw Constable Muhammad Syuib Ibrahim emerging as the best trainee of the entire temporary training; Constable Aidil Fitri Ibrahim was selected as the best academic trainee while Constable Mohamad Ezwan Misri was selected as the best trainee of external training.

Also present at the event were Sarawak Police Commissioner CP Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri, Head of the Bukit Aman Inspector-General of Police Secretariat (Research and Development) CP Datuk Mohd Hishamudin Tahar; PDRM Deputy Director of Management (Training) DCP Datuk Nerita Yaacob; Sarawak Deputy Police Commissioner DCP Datuk Mancha Ata, Pulapol Kuching Commandant Senior Assistant Commissioner Razali Mohamad, as well as other senior police officers.
