Miri: Sixty silat athletes from the northern region converged at the Petronas Village Sport here for selection in the upcoming Sukan Sarawak (SUKSAR) 2023.
These athletes come from Miri, Bintulu, Marudi, Limbang and Lawas.
For the record, SUKSAR 2023 is scheduled to be held in Sibu from Dec 18 to 21.
Present at the launching of the selection held on Saturday at Petronas Village Sport here was Minister for Transport Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin.
At the event, Lee also handed over an allocation worth RM10,000 to the Rimpun Silat Sarawak, Miri.
In his opening remarks, Lee encouraged the athletes to do their best for the selection, as they will be representing the northern region for the event.
