This episode of TTBU aims to understand the various types of traditional food preservation in Sarawak, as well as the challenges to conserving these traditional food preservations besides exploring the business prospects of Sarawak’s traditional food preservation industry, highlighting its shared characteristics, and cultivating Sarawakian unity through shared history, culture, and traditions.

Apart from that, Helong Ajang, owner of The Longboat, and Jimas Jihel, co-founder of Awah Cafe, have also been invited by YPS to speak about food preservation in Sarawak.

YPS said that food preservation is a method that is still in use today – a practice that was commonly employed in the past to keep fresh goods from spoiling, and it entails preparations, equipment, ingredients, and ways of processing.
