KUCHING: A senior citizen lodged a police report after a group of armed men attacked his 27-year-old son last Sunday night.
The 62-year-old man, in his report, said the incident took place in Tabuan Laru at around 9.00pm when the group, armed with a blunt object, attacked his son and smashed his car.
As a result of the attack, the complainant said his son sustained head and arm injuries.
It was believed that the incident occurred due to family matters.
Acting on the report, a 59-year-old man was picked up from a house in Tabuan Jaya by police yesterday morning.
The police also seized a katana sword from the suspect.
Kuching Police District chief, ACP Abang Ahmad Julai confirmed receiving a report on the incident and said police were still investigating the case.
