SIBU: A search and rescue (SAR) operation has been launched to locate a foreign man who was reported missing after falling off the Lanang Bridge here at 10.31pm on Saturday.
The victim was identified as Palwinder Singh, 23, from India.
Four firefighters from Sibu fire station led by Senior Fire Officer I Jankey started the SAR operation, focusing on Simpang Tiga jetty, Lanang Bridge and Hulu Lanang areas, at 10.30am yesterday.
The police are also assisting in the operation.
