SONG: The rustling noise heard underneath a house in Kampung Mission here turned out to be a seven-foot-long reticulated python slithering its way through items kept beneath the home this morning.

Fearing for the safety of her family, the woman houseowner immediately reached out to the Civil Defence Force (APM) Song for further assistance.

APM Kapit officer Capt Mohamad Noor Ini said a three-member team was despatched to the scene after receiving a distress call around 7 am.

On arrival, the team promptly secured the scene and searched for the snake, which was hiding in between some items underneath the house.

It did not take long for the team to capture the reptile using snake catching equipment.
