APM Sibu receives motorcycle donations

SIBU: The Civil Defence Force (APM) Sibu received two units of 150cc motorcycles to enhance its services on Friday.

The motorcycles, which were donated by two local benefactors, are deemed as one of the most impactful donations to APM Sibu so far.

APM Sarawak director Abdul Wahab Rahim expressed his gratitude to both benefactors for their kind contribution to APM.

“We appreciate their contribution. With the two motorcycles, we can upgrade our services during emergencies, deploy our team without getting stuck in traffic, and gather information on the incident,” he said.

During the press conference, Abdul Wahab hoped that more individuals would come forward and contributes to APM as they are in dire need of facilities and equipment to enhance their services.

“Community awareness and their contribution to APM are much appreciated. We have our personnel that are ready to serve. With the facilities provided to us, we can expand our services wider,” he added.

The donations were presented by one of the benefactors, Andrew Lau, to Sibu APM chief Wan Mohd Jabir, and witnessed by Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing, and Local Government Michael Tiang Ming Tee, and Abdul Wahab.
