KUCHING: A one-year-old baby was fortunate to escape unscathed in a collision between two cars at Jalan Bamfylde, Taman Gan Swee Choo here.

According to a statement, the Fire and Rescue Department received a call at 4.12pm that a Toyota Fortuner SUV and a Perodua Kancil car collided at the said location.

Arriving at the scene, firefighters discovered that the right leg of the 20-year-old female driver of the Perodua Kancil had gotten stuck while the other two passengers, a middle-aged woman and the baby, were unharmed.

The team extricated the victims from the car and handed them over to medical officers at the scene for further action.

The operation ended at 5.17pm after the team cleared the location of debris and oil spill.
