MUKAH: Bank Rakyat has allocated donations totalling to RM10,500 which will be distributed to 21 mosques and suraus here to assist with administrative matters and the implementation of programmes.

According to a spokesperson from Bank Rakyat Mukah, the donation under the Mosque Financial Integrity programme is one of the bank’s efforts to collaborate with the Sarawak Islamic Religious Department (Jais) since July last year.

“The purpose of implementing this programme is to improve the financial management of mosques and suraus under the administration of Jais.

“To ensure the smooth implementation of the joint venture programme, various initiatives have been implemented.

“One of them is the provision of Asnaf Contribution by Bank Rakyat to the mosques and suraus concerned,” said the spokesperson.

The donation was presented by Bank Rakyat Mukah manager Yuhip Rabaie to Jais Mukah’s representatives Ustaz Khalid Badhi and Ustaz Awang Yusshamry Awang Yusof in a simple presentation ceremony here.

Yuhip also encouraged mosques and suraus to open a current account at Bank Rakyat to enjoy the benefits offered.
