KUCHING: A fire that broke out at a single-storey terraced house in Jalan Tondong Height, Bau near here on Tuesday night caused massive damage including totally destroying the bedroom.
Bau Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received a distress call at 7.56pm and dispatched 11 firemen to the scene.
They had the fire under control in about thirty minutes and prevented it from spreading to adjacent houses.
Initial investigation revealed that the cause of the fire could be due to a short circuit from an air conditioning unit in the bedroom.
Total loss is still being investigated. No one was hurt in the fire.
