Bernama, Cuepacs pay courtesy calls on CM

KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy call from Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) led by its chief editor Datuk Mokhtar Hussain at the former’s office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here on Monday (Sept 7).

During the visit, the discussion was focused on the bigger and efficient role of Bernama in disseminating local news in the local media industry.

Also present were Bernama editor of business and finance, Khairdzir Md Yunus; Bernama former chairman Datuk Seri Azman Ujang and Sarawak Bureau chief Hamdan Ismail.

On the same day, Abang Johari also received another courtesy call from Sarawak Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) led by its president Ahmad Malie.

They discussed matters related to the Cuepacs building improvement allocation application and some issues related to the welfare of civil servants in the state.
