BINTANGOR: The construction of the Bintangor basketball stadium will continue under Phase 3 of the Meradong constituency Rural Transformation Project (RTP) programme.
The Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) quoted its assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing as saying that the construction will be completed on time.
He said the proposal from the Meradong Basketball Club to upgrade the stadium’s infrastructure will be implemented through the RTP allocation for the year 2024 after the construction of the stadium is completed.
According to Ding, there is an issue regarding the damaged Bintangor Sports Complex field surface but assured that the Ministry of Youth and Sports will attempt to repair the condition of the complex’s field circuit.
“The matter was also raised at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) meeting,” he said.
