BINTULU: The Bintulu Rotary Club has played a big part in helping the local community.

Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development, Datuk Majang Renggi, said that the club has done many important things to support different parts of the community, especially those who need help.

For example, the club helped Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Suai Satu and Rumah Jepi Bintulu Kindergarten.

“By helping with education like this, you’ve given young people a chance to do well and succeed in their studies,” Majang said.

He said this at the Rotary Club 38th Installation of New President and New Board of Directors 2023 event at a hotel here on Saturday.

At the event, Majang contributed RM30,000 to the Bintulu Rotary Club.

He also witnessed as Geling Ganyai became the 38th President of the Bintulu Rotary Club, along with the new Board of Directors.

The club also gave out awards to the winners of the Bintulu Coffeeshop & Restaurant Cleanliness and Entertainment campaign during the event.
