KUCHING: The Borneo Environment Conference (BEnCONF) 2023 is set to be held on Nov 15 and 16 at the Imperial Hotel here.

The conference’s purpose, said its chairman, Prof Dr Lau Seng, is to raise public awareness about climate change and how to address this critical issue.

“This conference aims to provide clarity to the public about what climate change really entails and what actions we can take to address these changing circumstances.”

He made these remarks following a courtesy visit to Deputy Minister for Energy and Environment Sustainability, Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni.

During the visit, he also extended an invitation to Dr Hazland to officiate the conference.

According to Prof Lau Seng, approximately 230 participants from both domestic and international locations have registered to join the conference.
