LINGGA: Several areas around Bukit Balau here have been found to have the potential to be turned into tourist destinations.
Acting District Officer, Frank Lani said as a consequence this potential could also further improve the socio-economy of the local population.
Therefore, he called for cooperation from all parties to participate in the effort to make Bukit Balau a successful tourism product.
He said this during a visit with his staff to Batu Jong, Bukit Balau Lingga recently.
He said the main purpose of the visit is to gather information on the myths or legends associated with these places before making a decision on their viability as tourist attractions.
