Call to help track them down five foreign men who fled after screening

KOTA SAMARAHAN: The police are calling for the cooperation of the public to track down five Indonesian men who fled after undergoing Covid-19 screening on Dec 21.

Kota Samarahan district police chief DSP Sudirman Kram said two of them were confirmed positive for Covid-19 based on the screening results on Dec 23.

He said the employer informed that the five suspects had fled from the workers’ house in the plantation area in Jemukan Ulu, Asajaya.

Preliminary investigation found that the five Indonesians involved, including two who were confirmed positive for Covid-19, were hired to clean up the plantation area and underwent a swab test on Dec 21.

“However, on Dec 22, the five Indonesians involved fled from the workers’ residence,” he said in a statement today.

He also revealed that two of the suspects who were confirmed positive were identified as Harianto Safari, 41, and Milhan Madi, 23.

The other three are only known as Randi, 30; Hamsar, 27, and Rija Riansyah Tan Rabudin, 29.

Thus, members of the public with any information regarding all suspects are asked to contact the Kota Samarahan district police headquarters (IPD) at 082-662101.

“Information can also be channelled by contacting any nearby police station or Inspector Mohd Syukri Jasni at 011-65643820,” he said.
