KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar received a courtesy visit from CENTEXS Commercial at Pullman Hotel here on Wednesday.
CENTEXS Commercial CEO Shahren Yusri said he updated the Governor on the organisation’s initiatives during the visit.
“We are planning to launch a new programme and a major event – Rona Warni Aidilfitri Extravaganza, on March 31, where we have invited the Head of State and wife Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi to attend.
“This programme is specifically designed to promote Sarawak’s traditional songket and keringkam.
“This marks the first time we are inviting the Head of State and wife to visit the Juma’ani Pavilion, where they can explore not only our local heritage products but also witness our production facility for these unique items,” he said when met by reporters after the courtesy visit.
The CENTEXS Commercial delegation was led by the honorary advisor for Fashion, Heritage and Textiles, Datuk Dr Sabariah Putit.
Also in the delegation were CENTEXS deputy director of Industry and ESG Academy Dr Nadianatra Musa, deputy director of Digital and Green Technology Dr Dayang Hanani Abang Ibrahim, and the head of Corporate Communications and Strategy, Marketing and Gallery Malissa Sahari.
